Ladakh is a mountainous region and the coldest  desert in the world. In Ladakh the nature has rendered a magical, unbelievable and fantastic landscape which is extremely breathtaking.

It is rightly called ‘A land of High passes‘ since we cross various high altitude passes as we take a beautiful road journey to Leh.

Ladakh is known for its diversity in landscapes. Right from desserts to Snowcapped mountains, you will find beautiful landscapes with breathtaking views.

 Major Highlights of the Tour :

·       Crossing various high Altitude Passes- Khardung La, Baralacha La, Taglang La, Changala, Naki La

·           Experiencing ladakhi culture

·           Picturesque Pangong lake

·           Shanti Stupa, Hemis monastery, Indus-Zanskar rivers confluence

·           Visit to most ancient monasteries- Alchi & Likir in Leh

·           Visit to largest & oldest Diskit monastery in Nubra valley

·          Visit to large statue of Maitreya Buddha  (32 meter) on the top of the hill

 Day - 1 – 9 August

Arrival in Shrinagar – Stay in a House Boat,  Dinner

Day – 2 – 10 August

Proceed to Kargil. Visit war memorial. Stay at Kargil.

Day – 3 – 11 August

Proceed to Leh and have rest for acclimatization for the whole day. Stay at Leh. 

Day – 4 – 12 August  

Sightseeing of either side. 

After breakfast you will move towards Alchi area. You will cover Hall of Fame – our Indian Military Museum, Spituk Monastery, Kalimata Temple, Likir Monastery, confluence of Sindhu & Zanskar Rivers, the world famous & miraculous ‘Magnetic Hill’, Pathar Saheb Gurudwara. 

Stay at Leh.  

Day – 5 – 13 August 

Leh to Nubra. 

Proceed at Nubra via Khardongla Pass - the highest motorable road in the world. Then visit to Diskit Monastery with a visit to huge statue of Lord Buddha and in the evening time have camel ride at sand dune. 

You will explore Nubra Valley. Will reach Diskit by afternoon and then explore nearby area. Visit ‘Maitreya Budhha’ and Diskit Monastery. Enjoy sand dunes and double hump camel ride in (optional – and cost have to bare by the members) Hunder & Diskit villages. 

Also after sunset you can go for some ‘sky gazing’ activity’ and will see our ‘Galaxy – The Milky Way’ from very close distance. Photography of sky can be done with a good camera & lenses. 

Stay at Nubra.  

Day – 6 – 14 August

Nubra to Pangong via Shayok

After breakfast leave for Pangong Tso Lake via Shayok and will reach Pangong by early noon. This lake is highest altitude and contains salt water. It is shared by India & China, where 1/3 part is of India and 2/3 part is of China. Later you can explore nearby area for birds & mammals. After sunset ‘sky gazing’ activity can be continue. 

Stay at Pangong Camp. 

Day – 7 – 15 August

Pangong to Leh via Hemis etc. 

After early breakfast explore nearby area and then leave for Leh. On the way visit famous Hemis Monastery, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace and then go for some local shopping and the take rest at the resort. Stay at Leh.  

Day – 8 – 16 August 

Proceed to Sonmarg. (400Kms). Stay in Sonmarg. 

Day – 9 – 17 August

Proceed to Shrinagar. Catch our flight in the evening.
